📚 Survivor's Guide

Welcome to the Island!

So you've just spawned on the beach, naked and vulnerable. Don't panic! Here's what you need to do in your first hour:

First 10 Minutes - Immediate Priorities

1. Gather Fiber: Punch bushes (E key) to collect fiber. This is your #1 resource early on.
2. Pick up Stones: Look for small rocks on the ground to collect stone.
3. Harvest Wood: Punch trees to get wood (or use a pickaxe if you find one).
4. Craft a Pickaxe: Open your inventory (I key) → Craft → Stone Pickaxe (1 stone, 10 wood, 1 flint)
5. Make a Hatchet: Craft a Stone Hatchet next for better wood gathering.

First Hour - Establishing Yourself

1. Find a Base Location: Look for somewhere relatively flat, near resources, and not too exposed.
2. Build a Small Thatch Hut: Place foundations, walls, a doorframe, and a thatch door.
3. Craft Storage: Make a Storage Box to keep your items safe.
4. Get a Bed/Sleeping Bag: Craft a sleeping bag ASAP so you can respawn at your base if you die.
5. Start Taming: Tame your first Dodo or Parasaur for companionship and resources.

Level Priority (1-20)

Your First Tames

Dodo: Easy to tame (berries), gives eggs for recipes

Parasaur: Great berry gatherer and early mount

Moschops: Can gather multiple resources, great starter tame

Pteranodon: Your first flyer - absolute game-changer for mobility

Progression Path (Level 20-60)

You've got the basics down. Now it's time to expand, optimize, and dominate!

Base Upgrades

• Upgrade to Wood: Wood structures have better durability and insulation
• Add Crop Plots: Start farming vegetables for better recipes
• Get a Smithy: Essential for advanced tools and weapons
• Build a Forge: Smelt metal for higher-tier equipment
• Add Preserving Bins: Keep your food fresh longer

Essential Mid-Game Tames

Cave Running

Caves contain valuable loot crates with blueprints and resources, but they're dangerous!

• Bring: Weapons, armor, food, water, medical brews, bug repellant
• Creatures: Baryonyx, Sabertooth, or Direwolf are great cave mounts
• Artifacts: Required for boss fights later on

Late Game Optimization (Level 60+)

Base Protection

• Dino Gates: Keep wild creatures out of your base perimeter
• Plant Species X: Automated defense against wild dinos
• Vault Rooms: Build secure vault rooms for valuable items
• Dino Positioning: Keep strong tames on neutral around your perimeter
• Good Location: Build away from dangerous spawn areas

Advanced Farming

Set up specialized farming operations for maximum efficiency:

• Industrial Forge + Anky: Metal production line
• Industrial Cooker: Mass cooking and kibble production
• Chemistry Bench: Advanced consumables and explosives
• Tek Replicator: End-game crafting station

Must-Have Late Game Tames

Rex: Boss fighting, defense, general combat

Yutyrannus: Combat buff for your army

Managarmr: Speed and mobility (if available on server)

Giganotosaurus: Absolute powerhouse (handle with care!)

Therizinosaur: Versatile gatherer and combat mount

Breeding Basics

Breeding allows you to combine the best stats from two parents and create superior creatures.

The Breeding Process

1. Enable Mating: Set both parents to "Enable Wandering" or use a breeding pen
2. Wait for Mating: They'll display a mating progress bar
3. Egg or Gestation: Creatures either lay eggs or have babies directly
4. Incubation/Gestation: Maintain proper temperature for eggs, wait for pregnancy
5. Birth/Hatching: Baby is born! Now the real work begins...

Raising Babies

Growth Stages

• Baby (10%): Needs hand-feeding, very vulnerable
• Juvenile (50%): Can eat from troughs, still vulnerable
• Adolescent (100%): Almost ready, can defend itself
• Adult: Fully grown! Can breed and fight

Imprinting

During raising, you'll get imprint requests (cuddle, walk, food). Completing these gives:

• Increased stats (health, stamina, damage)
• Rider bonus (extra damage and resistance when YOU ride it)

Preparing for Boss Fights

Boss fights are the ultimate PvE challenge. Here's what you need:

Requirements

• Artifacts: Collected from caves around the map
• Tributes: Specific items depending on the boss and difficulty
• Strong Army: 18-20 high-level, well-bred creatures
• Tribe Members: Bring friends for better chances

Recommended Army Composition

• 18 Rexes: High HP and melee (aim for 25k+ HP, 500%+ melee)
• 1 Yutyrannus: For courage roar buff
• 1 Daeodon: Emergency healing

Boss Progression

1. Gamma (Easy): Practice run, easier loot
2. Beta (Medium): Better rewards, moderate challenge
3. Alpha (Hard): Best loot, Tek unlocks, very difficult

Post-Boss Rewards

• Tek Engrams (advanced technology)
• Element (Tek fuel and crafting material)
• High-quality blueprints
• Achievement and bragging rights!
